CVE-2026-2913 1 Libvips 1 Libvips 2026-02-22 2.5 Low
A vulnerability was determined in libvips up to 8.19.0. The affected element is the function vips_source_read_to_memory of the file libvips/iofuncs/source.c. This manipulation causes heap-based buffer overflow. It is possible to launch the attack on the local host. The attack's complexity is rated as high. The exploitability is described as difficult. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. Patch name: a56feecbe9ed66521d9647ec9fbcd2546eccd7ee. Applying a patch is the recommended action to fix this issue. The confirmation of the bugfix mentions: "[T]he impact of this is negligible, since this only affects custom seekable sources larger than 4 GiB (and the crash occurs in user code rather than libvips itself)."
CVE-2026-2047 2026-02-21 7.8 High
GIMP ICNS File Parsing Heap-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of GIMP. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of ICNS files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-28530.
CVE-2026-27168 2026-02-21 8.8 High
SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles. All versions are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow through the XWD parser's use of the bytes_per_line value. The value os read directly from the file as the read size in io->strict_read(), and is never compared to the actual size of the destination buffer. An attacker can provide an XWD file with an arbitrarily large bytes_per_line, causing a massive write operation beyond the buffer heap allocated for the image pixels. The issue did not have a fix at the time of publication.
CVE-2026-0797 2026-02-20 8.8 High
GIMP ICO File Parsing Heap-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of GIMP. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of ICO files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-28599.

CVE-2026-26200 1 Hdfgroup 1 Hdf5 2026-02-20 7.8 High
HDF5 is software for managing data. Prior to version 1.14.4-2, an attacker who can control an `h5` file parsed by HDF5 can trigger a write-based heap buffer overflow condition. This can lead to a denial-of-service condition, and potentially further issues such as remote code execution depending on the practical exploitability of the heap overflow against modern operating systems. Real-world exploitability of this issue in terms of remote-code execution is currently unknown. Version 1.14.4-2 fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-2661 2 Albertodemichelis, Squirrel-lang 2 Squirrel, Squirrel 2026-02-20 3.3 Low
A security flaw has been discovered in Squirrel up to 3.2. This affects the function SQObjectPtr::operator in the library squirrel/sqobject.h. The manipulation results in heap-based buffer overflow. The attack needs to be approached locally. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
CVE-2026-2007 1 Postgresql 1 Postgresql 2026-02-20 8.2 High
Heap buffer overflow in PostgreSQL pg_trgm allows a database user to achieve unknown impacts via a crafted input string. The attacker has limited control over the byte patterns to be written, but we have not ruled out the viability of attacks that lead to privilege escalation. PostgreSQL 18.1 and 18.0 are affected.

CVE-2026-26967 1 Pjsip 2 Pjproject, Pjsip 2026-02-20 5.3 Medium
PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. In versions 2.16 and below, there is a critical Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in PJSIP's H.264 unpacketizer. The bug occurs when processing malformed SRTP packets, where the unpacketizer reads a 2-byte NAL unit size field without validating that both bytes are within the payload buffer bounds. The vulnerability affects applications that receive video using H.264. A patch is available at https://github.com/pjsip/pjproject/commit/f821c214e52b11bae11e4cd3c7f0864538fb5491.

A security flaw has been discovered in admesh up to 0.98.5. This issue affects the function stl_check_normal_vector of the file src/normals.c. Performing a manipulation results in heap-based buffer overflow. The attack must be initiated from a local position. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. It looks like this product is not really maintained anymore.
