| A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in ActFax Server version 4.32, specifically in the "Import Users from File" functionality of the client interface. The application fails to properly validate the length of tab-delimited fields in .exp files, leading to unsafe usage of strcpy() during CSV parsing. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by crafting a malicious .exp file and importing it using the default character set "ECMA-94 / Latin 1 (ISO 8859)". Successful exploitation may result in arbitrary code execution, leading to full system compromise. User interaction is required to trigger the vulnerability. |
| The WordPress plugin Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) version 3.5.1 and below contains a remote file inclusion (RFI) vulnerability in core/actions/export.php. When the PHP configuration directive allow_url_include is enabled (default: Off), an unauthenticated attacker can exploit the acf_abspath POST parameter to include and execute arbitrary remote PHP code. This leads to remote code execution under the web server’s context, allowing full compromise of the host. |
| AOL versions up to and including 9.5 includes an ActiveX control (Phobos.dll) that exposes a method called Import() via the Phobos.Playlist COM object. This method is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow when provided with an excessively long string argument. Exploitation allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the user, but only when the malicious HTML file is opened locally, due to the control not being marked safe for scripting or initialization. AOL remains an active and supported brand offering services like AOL Mail and AOL Desktop Gold, but the legacy AOL 9.5 desktop software—specifically the version containing the vulnerable Phobos.dll ActiveX control—is long discontinued and no longer maintained. |
| Craft is a content management system (CMS). Prior to 5.9.0-beta.2 and 4.17.0-beta.2, the actionSendActivationEmail() endpoint is accessible to unauthenticated users and does not require a permission check for pending users. An attacker with no prior access can trigger activation emails for any pending user account by knowing or guessing the user ID. If the attacker controls the target user’s email address, they can activate the account and gain access to the system. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.9.0-beta.2 and 4.17.0-beta.2. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
f2fs: fix out-of-bounds access in sysfs attribute read/write
Some f2fs sysfs attributes suffer from out-of-bounds memory access and
incorrect handling of integer values whose size is not 4 bytes.
For example:

carve_out maps to {struct f2fs_sb_info}->carve_out, which is a 8-bit
integer. However, the sysfs interface allows setting it to a value
larger than 255, resulting in an out-of-range update.
atgc_age_threshold maps to {struct atgc_management}->age_threshold,
which is a 64-bit integer, but its sysfs interface cannot correctly set
values larger than UINT_MAX.
The root causes are:
1. __sbi_store() treats all default values as unsigned int, which
prevents updating integers larger than 4 bytes and causes out-of-bounds
writes for integers smaller than 4 bytes.
2. f2fs_sbi_show() also assumes all default values are unsigned int,
leading to out-of-bounds reads and incorrect access to integers larger
than 4 bytes.
This patch introduces {struct f2fs_attr}->size to record the actual size
of the integer associated with each sysfs attribute. With this
information, sysfs read and write operations can correctly access and
update values according to their real data size, avoiding memory
corruption and truncation. |
| Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the Snort 3 Detection Engine that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart, resulting in an interruption of packet inspection.
This vulnerability is due to incomplete parsing of the SSL handshake ingress packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted SSL handshake packets. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition when the Snort 3 Detection Engine restarts unexpectedly. |
| The /root/anaconda-ks.cfg installation configuration file in International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) SFX Series(SFX2100) SuperFlex Satellite Receiver insecurely stores the hardcoded root password hash. The password itself is highly insecure and susceptible to offline dictionary attacks using the rockyou.txt wordlist. Because direct root SSH login is disabled, an attacker must first obtain low-privileged access to the system (e.g., via other vulnerabilities) to be able to log in as the root user. The password is hardcoded and so allows for an actor with local access on effected versions to escalate to root |

A remote unauthenticated attacker can use these undocumented credentials to access the satellite system directly via the Telnet service, leading to potential system compromise. |
| International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) SFX Series SuperFlex Satellite Receiver contains undocumented, hardcoded/insecure credentials for the `xd` user account. A remote unauthenticated attacker can log in via FTP using these credentials. Because the `xd` user has write permissions to their home directory where root-executed binaries and symlinks (such as those invoked by `xdstartstop`) are stored, the attacker can overwrite these files or manipulate symlinks to achieve arbitrary code execution as the root user. |

| In the query parser in OpenStack Vitrage before 12.0.1, 13.0.0, 14.0.0, and 15.0.0, a user allowed to access the Vitrage API may trigger code execution on the Vitrage service host as the user the Vitrage service runs under. This may result in unauthorized access to the host and further compromise of the Vitrage service. All deployments exposing the Vitrage API are affected. This occurs in _create_query_function in vitrage/graph/query.py. |
| Missing Authentication for Critical Function (CWE-306) vulnerability in Apache Artemis, Apache ActiveMQ Artemis. An unauthenticated remote attacker can use the Core protocol to force a target broker to establish an outbound Core federation connection to an attacker-controlled rogue broker. This could potentially result in message injection into any queue and/or message exfiltration from any queue via the rogue broker. This impacts environments that allow both:
- incoming Core protocol connections from untrusted sources to the broker
- outgoing Core protocol connections from the broker to untrusted targets
This issue affects:
- Apache Artemis from 2.50.0 through 2.51.0
- Apache ActiveMQ Artemis from 2.11.0 through 2.44.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Artemis version 2.52.0, which fixes the issue.
The issue can be mitigated by either of the following:
- Remove Core protocol support from any acceptor receiving connections from untrusted sources. Incoming Core protocol connections are supported by default via the "artemis" acceptor listening on port 61616. See the "protocols" URL parameter configured for the acceptor. An acceptor URL without this parameter supports all protocols by default, including Core.
- Use two-way SSL (i.e. certificate-based authentication) in order to force every client to present the proper SSL certificate when establishing a connection before any message protocol handshake is attempted. This will prevent unauthenticated exploitation of this vulnerability. |
