CVE-2022-50553 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-02-04 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing/hist: Fix out-of-bound write on 'action_data.var_ref_idx' When generate a synthetic event with many params and then create a trace action for it [1], kernel panic happened [2]. It is because that in trace_action_create() 'data->n_params' is up to SYNTH_FIELDS_MAX (current value is 64), and array 'data->var_ref_idx' keeps indices into array 'hist_data->var_refs' for each synthetic event param, but the length of 'data->var_ref_idx' is TRACING_MAP_VARS_MAX (current value is 16), so out-of-bound write happened when 'data->n_params' more than 16. In this case, 'data->match_data.event' is overwritten and eventually cause the panic. To solve the issue, adjust the length of 'data->var_ref_idx' to be SYNTH_FIELDS_MAX and add sanity checks to avoid out-of-bound write. CVE-2022-50526 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-02-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm/dp: fix memory corruption with too many bridges Add the missing sanity check on the bridge counter to avoid corrupting data beyond the fixed-sized bridge array in case there are ever more than eight bridges. Patchwork: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/502664/
CVE-2020-37031 1 Ashkon 1 Simple Startup Manager 2026-02-04 8.4 High
Simple Startup Manager 1.17 contains a local buffer overflow vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by overwriting memory through the 'File' input parameter. Attackers can craft a malicious payload with 268 bytes to trigger code execution, bypassing DEP and overwriting memory addresses to launch calc.exe.

CVE-2023-53652 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-02-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vdpa: Add features attr to vdpa_nl_policy for nlattr length check The vdpa_nl_policy structure is used to validate the nlattr when parsing the incoming nlmsg. It will ensure the attribute being described produces a valid nlattr pointer in info->attrs before entering into each handler in vdpa_nl_ops. That is to say, the missing part in vdpa_nl_policy may lead to illegal nlattr after parsing, which could lead to OOB read just like CVE-2023-3773. This patch adds the missing nla_policy for vdpa features attr to avoid such bugs.
CVE-2024-12084 8 Almalinux, Archlinux, Gentoo and 5 more 9 Almalinux, Arch Linux, Linux and 6 more 2026-02-03 9.8 Critical
A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in the rsync daemon. This issue is due to improper handling of attacker-controlled checksum lengths (s2length) in the code. When MAX_DIGEST_LEN exceeds the fixed SUM_LENGTH (16 bytes), an attacker can write out of bounds in the sum2 buffer.
